1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the American Dental Network ("ADN," "we," "us," or "our") website (amdentnetwork.com), our patient communications, and our services — including SMS/text-message notifications. By using our website, providing your mobile phone number to any ADN-affiliated practice, or receiving services from us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Who We Are

American Dental Network is an Indiana-based dental management organization headquartered in Fishers, Indiana. We operate and support a network of dental practices, including Implant Dentistry & Periodontics (IDP), Children's Dental Center (CDC), Smile Time Kids (STK), MSP, Northside Dental (NSD), and others.

3. SMS / Text Message Program

SMS messages from American Dental Network are sent ONLY to individuals who have affirmatively opted in through one of our approved consent paths (in-person consent form, verbal consent captured by staff, or the web form at amdentnetwork.com/sms-opt-in). Providing your phone number to ADN for treatment, billing, or scheduling purposes does NOT by itself opt you in to SMS communications — a separate, explicit affirmative consent is required.

Message Types:

- Appointment confirmations and reminders

- Reschedule requests and pre-visit instructions

- Treatment plan updates and post-operative care instructions

- Payment notifications and account statements

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your appointments and account activity.

Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier charges from your wireless provider apply to all messages sent and received.

Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.

Supported Carriers: Messages are supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No Sharing of Mobile Information: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent to receive SMS messages is treated as an independent, affirmative agreement — never bundled with, or implied by, other patient consents or ADN service agreements.

4. Healthcare Communications

ADN complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all applicable state and federal privacy laws. SMS communications are limited to the minimum necessary information required to support your care and appointments. Detailed protected health information (PHI) is not transmitted via SMS.

Your mobile phone number and consent are used solely to communicate with you about your care and account. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. Use of Our Services

You agree to use ADN services and our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to interfere with the operation of our services, attempt unauthorized access, or misuse patient communication channels.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the ADN website — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is the property of American Dental Network or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7. Disclaimers

ADN services and website content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SMS delivery depends on your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed. ADN is not responsible for messages delayed, undelivered, or intercepted by carriers or third parties. Nothing on our website constitutes medical or dental advice; please consult your provider directly for care decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, American Dental Network shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website, services, or SMS communications.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Indiana.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website and services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
